Unfortunately, due to the second national lockdown we will be pausing the printing of our papers for a few weeks. We will continue to bring you all the latest local news and more on our website and Facebook page. The Champion might not come through your door for a while, but we are still here for you. In the meantime, please stay safe and take great care of each other. Best wishes from your Champion Team.

WHAT is open at Aintree Shopping Park?

Following the second lockdown, non-essential retail is closed until the planned reopening on Wednesday, December 2. However, there are several essential stores that remain open, as well as some for Click & Collect and takeaway. Essential stores open to the public are B&Q, Boots, Halfords, M&S and Pets at Home. Click & Collect services also remain open for Next. Nando’s and Greggs are open for takeaway, as well as the Mcdonald’s drive-thru.

The management team said : “We have taken every precaution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors during this period. This includes additional cleaning and hygiene measures, asking visitors to comply with social distancing rules at all times, and introducing queue-management where necessary.

“Whilst the park plans to reopen on December 2, government advice will continue to be adhered to, and any announcement of store updates will be included on our website and social media pages. To keep up to date with the latest reopening details and social distancing rules, please visit Aintree Shopping Park, like us on Facebook at Aintree Shopping Park or Twitter @AintreeSP.”
