SKELMERSDALE Police’s Immediate Response and Neighbourhood Task Force were busy after this vehicle (right) failed to stop.
The vehicle was initially seen by an eagle- eyed member of the public who contacted police to say they had seen it being driven dangerously in the Skelmersdale area recently.
PC Waite spotted the vehicle on Digmoor Road, and it was then pursued by the police’s Team 2 Immediate Response and Neighbourhood Task Force. The occupants abandoned the vehicle on Bearncroft and made off from the area on foot.
The vehicle was stolen from a burglary in the Greater Manchester area, and was being driven on cloned registration plates.
It has been forensically recovered and will be examined to try and establish any linked offenders.
A spokesman for Skelmersdale Police said: “If you see anything suspicious or something which doesn’t feel right, please contact us on 101 or 999 in an emergency. We are committed to tackling criminality and those involved in it.”
