THE Northern Art Gallery, situated in the Mews area at the centre of Birkdale village, will showcase its latest exhibition called Safari from Thursday, September 23.
As usual, the proprietor, Jon Gibbons will begin the exhibition with a special Open day with a glass of wine.
Travelling artist and author, James Gray together with other northern artists will exhibit a range of work from their extensive travels which include many of the world's most inhospitable areas. On show will be some of the artist’s iconic sketch books together with a selection of quirky items acquired by the artists during their travels.
The Northern Art gallery is one of the few galleries to have a working artist in residence and visitors will be able to watch and ask questions as one of the artists works on their paintings.
The entrance to the gallery can be found at the side of Barriques wine bar, and the Open Day will be from 4pm to 8pm on September 23.
