LUCILLA Dramatic Society, Crosby’s oldest drama group, recently welcomed back audiences after an 18-month closure due to the pandemic.
The Society, which celebrated its centenary in 2020, performed its ‘Welcome Back Revue’ of short plays and music to full houses at its Victoria Road base, and marked the start of its first full season since pandemic restrictions eased.
Society chairman, Graham Aldridge, said: “We’re delighted to see so many of our supporters back in the audience after lockdown. It’s clear there is still a great appetite for live theatre locally, and we’re already rehearsing a bigger production for November.”
