THE eagerly awaited reopening of The Grand on Lord Street will take place on Friday, July 15.
The multi-million pound renovation of the building will see the eventual opening of four high-end bars and a brasserie restaurant.
The Grand Brasserie and Chloe’s Piano Bar will be the first venues to open at the new-look venue.
The Princess Grace Suite, a wedding and function suite accommodating up to 250 people, will be opening just a couple of weeks later for viewings. Harry’s Rooftop Bar and The Sky Bar are scheduled to be open in time for Christmas.
The Grand is a Grade II Listed building, which first opened in 1923, and is steeped in history.
It has been renovated by Andrew Mikhail, owner of Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Group, which owns a number of other venues in the town centre, including The Bold Hotel, Lord Street Hotel and Punch Tarmey’s.
Mr Mikhail, chairman of Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Group said: “I am thrilled to be able to create so many local jobs for the area with the regeneration of The Grand.
“The opening of this striking venue will attract both locals and tourists to enjoy a five-star experience and we need a five-star team in order to provide that experience.
“Those people that have visited other Mikhail Group venues will have experienced that high quality of service expected of our teams.
“I can’t wait to bring The Grand back to life.”
