Eaterie makes the top grade
by David Simister

A WEST Lancashire restaurant has been given the thumbs up by the authors of a nationwide guide celebrating the country's most upmarket eateries.

The Swan Inn, on Springfield Road, Aughton, has been included in this year's Michelin Food Guide just a year its launch by Marco Pierre White - his first venture in the north of England.

Francis Carroll, brand manager for Marco Pierre White, said: “We opened The Swan Inn less than a year ago and the support from the local community has been nothing short of phenomenal.

”From the outset, our goal was always to serve quality, wholesome food in a relaxed but romantic environment and, happily, our customers have kept coming back for more.“

The Swan restaurant, which also includes luxury hotel rooms for overnight accomodation, opened with the backing of the Hell's Kitchen chef in February last year and is owned and operated by Sanguine Hospitality Limited.

”Despite our success so far, we’re continually looking for new ways to make that experience even better for our diners and ensure we become a regular feature in the guide,“ added Mr Carroll.
