Man rescued after boat sinks in Crosby Marina
by Tom Martin

A FULL-scale emergency rescue mission had to be carried out at Crosby Marina after a dinghy overturned and trapped the inside.

Firefighters, paramedics and a police helicopter were called out to help the man who had been using the small boat on the water when he got into trouble.

After it had overturned, he was then trapped by a piece of wire and firefighters had to don water rescue gear to help him back to shore.

He was uninjured but was monitored at the scene by paramedics and did not need further treatment.

The incident took place on Thursday, December 10 at around 2pm, with emergency services there for around half an hour.
